Tulum Ruins

The ruins in Tulum Mexico gave me a great day or two of sketching opportunities.

Market Square Cinema

I ordered a new paint set from Rosa Gallery.  This is their “Botanicals” set with a nice assortment of reds and blues. I broke it in sketching our local cinema which has gone through several owners in the 20 years we have been in the neighbourhood. It has a nice community feel and is a great place to see a film on the big screen without all the hype of the big cineplexes.

North Market

Now that the new North Market is complete and open we no longer have to explain why the North Market is south of the main market. The old building it replaces was not beautiful but it was a community hub. I hope the new building will serve the same needs.
